Sasha The Artist

Sasha Vom Dorp grew up in an artists colony in Taos, New Mexico. Vom Dorp studied with the late Taos artist, Rod Goebel. Working in oils, he paints his passion for nature. Utilizing the richness of oils, Vom Dorp creates painting that evokes a visual, textural response in the viewer. The viewer is encouraged to touch the paintings.

Sasha approaches painting the way he approaches life…."I follow my heart… my true self. I let the conditioned mind rest while my unconscious leads the way. I believe this is where the mystery and the magic of the creative process exist. By following my intuition, I am able to explore the stars of creativity. As an artist, I would like to show the world that there is more to life than what our limited perceptions comprehend."
