THE YOUNG AT ART/ART EXIBIT
As you know we recently held a children’s art exhibit. Approximately 30 children ages 4 - 7 and under the direction of Gloria Aluzas were featured. It was a welcomed event. However the art was not available for sale. Many of you who attended realized why the parents could not part with their child’s art. DO NOT DESPAIR On Saturday, November 21, 1998, the Ragtime Art Gallery will host a HOLIDAY ART AND GIFT BOUTIQUE SHOW, which will continue through December 24, 1998. The children participating will feature art they plan to offer for sale. A portion of the proceeds goes to providing scholarships so that more and more children may experience the joy of creative expression . Music will be provided by young harpists, many under the direction of Carolyn Sykes.You don’t want to miss this event - so mark your calendar.
KELLYE NAKAHARA WALLETT We continue to hold art exhibits. Currently, we are featuring the Watercolor Collection, "The Gardens of Pasadena" by Kellye Nakahara Wallett. Her current collection features historical landmarks, gardens and neighborhoods in Pasadena. Kellye portrayed "Nurse Kellye" on the M*A*S*H television series.Kellye’s exhibit will continue through November 4. She continue to offer for sale her cards and lithographs. NEW KID ON THE BLOCK We wish to welcome Magdalena Garcia to our staff. Magdalena has many years as an experienced instructor in crochet, hand and machine knitting. She is available Saturdays by appointment. ROWAN YARN STOCKIST We are now the Stockist for Rowan Yarn and Magazines. We have a wide selection, including pillow kits. DADDY'S LONG LEGS DOLLS, FIGURINES & KEEPSAKES Will arrive Mid - November, just in time for the holidays. Stop in and view our fine collection. GENTLEMEN’S QUARTERLY We have several gentlemen who are knitters. We welcome men who have a desire to own custom design apparel and decor to make an appointment. Let us hear from you.
